Here's Didi's interview in full

Didi, welcome to Stunning Men and a big thank you for taking the time to do the interview.

Could we start off with talking a little about yourself and where you are from?

I am 32, from Austria and just starting with modelling. I studied Mathematics and Sport, and taught for 7 years. Last summer I moved to the USA to study Psychology and Kinesiology, but after six month I had to move back home for personal reasons.

At the moment I am working as a Personal Trainer in a gym and in the Fall I will be starting teaching again. I love to work with kids and people. I am a teacher of passion.

You have an awesome physique. How do you keep in shape and healthy? Do you practise any sport?

I practise sport every day. I do bodybuilding and keep myself fit. I eat healthy and I share my experience with other people. In Winter I go skiing and snowboarding.

What are your top three favourite gym exercises and why?

Flat Bench Press: I love working out my chest.

Squats: I hated in the past but now it’s one of my favourite exercises. A bodybuilder has to have legs. I can’t stand bodybuilders with small legs and huge upper body. Looks so stupid!

Biceps Curls: love torturing my biceps!

And what’s the best form of cardio for you?

Stairmaster: I love it!

Now how do you keep motivated?

I compare myself with other models and I keep up with them. I am 32 so I have to work harder than a model in his twenties.

Is it difficult to fit training and fitness into your life?

No it’s easy. I teach sport and I have to be a role model for my students.

And how did you get into modelling?

I was always interested. During my stay in the USA last year I prepared for a shoot and I really liked posing in front of the camera. And now here, I am trying to get more into modelling.

What do you enjoy the most about it?

I enjoy posing and of course the pics a lot. I prepare really hard for every shoot and I try to be in my best shape for a shoot. I always listen to the photographers and try to make the right pose for the best pic.

Let’s talk about photoshoots ... how do you prepare for them?

Really hard. Nutrition and my workout are the most important parts in my preparation. I workout and do cardio training every day and close to the shoot twice per day to get rid of the water and to get ripped.

The nutrition is very important because how you look like is made in the kitchen. High protein nutrition and low fat and carbs are my secret.

I have to say that you are a very good looking guy – what do you think is your best asset?

My eyes.

And if you could change one thing about your body, what would that be?

I don’t know really. Maybe my hairy chest! (Didi laughs)

How do you approach a challenge?

Always focused and prepared.

What do you do in your down time?

Relaxing, working out, travelling and meeting friends.

Do you have any role models? People who inspire you?

There are many people who inspire me. But there is one I respect a lot – Matt Schiermeier.

Now a few quick fun questions if we may?

Of course! (Didi smiles)

What do you think is the secret to a good relationship?

To talk the love language to your partner (“The 5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman).

Every person has a love tank and this has to be filled. This can only happen if your partner is able to speak your love language. In my last relationship, my ex-partner was not able to speak my real love language.

Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy?

Brief man actually.

What do you listen to on your iPod?

House, progressive house.

Your favourite song or piece of music to play while training or running?

I have no special song or piece I listen to. There are just my podcasts and me.

What kind of movies do you like?

Action and science fiction, but also romantic movies.

What can’t you live without?

Safety.

You wouldn’t know, but I’m very good at ...

Listening to problems of other people and give advice.

I’m just not very good at ...

Doing technical stuff.

What’s the best thing ever invented?

The smart phone.

What three words describe you best?

Honest – reliable – faithful.

One last question Didi, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time?

Wow, difficult question. My aim was and will always be to teach in the USA. I hope I can achieve that goal in the next 10 years.

And one of my biggest dreams is to find the right partner, getting married and living together in a house with a dog.

Didi, it has truly been a real pleasure to interview you! Thank you for your time and for being a good sport. All the best for the future!
